reflecting on reflection

What's the dilio? Idilio here....

Today's initial exercises were very interesting because at first I thought we were going to have a lesson on the role an MC takes during a performance. The rest of the exercises shaped an unknown phenomenon, the thinking of the unthinkable. I thought it was very interesting how we were using the pipe as an element to explore new ideas within our stories and maybe even think of different directions the story could take and still telling the story. All this week we have been exploring how to find connectors, within our conversations, our stories, our performances and even the world that shapes us to be who we are. Lastly, even though I have not selected a story yet for Friday I found the flash cards exercise very helpful to map ideas to connect our stories to one that we don't use in particularly.

Bill Lepp  was very exciting but not as exciting to hear him share after his show! Thank you David for asking him the questions we are discussing in class and to get his perspective on them. Once again I got out of it to stay true to ourselves and loved his advice about creating a character if we want to incorporate messages that may be harsh to listen to. See you guys tommorrow cause I'm kind of sleepy now.

  1. Thanks Idilio - finding connections is a core value of mine. As we discover relatedness among ideas, events, information, and people, we expand our understanding and awareness in many directions. As we have often heard in discussion, some of our present troubles seem to stem from the malaise of disconnection.
