I have been aware of the power of silence before, but today I became more aware of my silences as I tell stories. It was very interesting to listen for when and where the silences had the greatest effect for the story and my MIT. S I was with Aimee for the photo shoot (Big Thanks to Aimee for offering that), I told a story while being photographed. As I told that story, I actually felt another level of awareness of the silences that I used and most importantly how long I could hold them. It was like a silent reminder to hold the silence as long as I could.
Interesting. It seems that while we are discussing the power of voice, we are also learning the power in our silence.
